Welcome to our new website and blog! We have a lot of exciting things happening at Tiger and Lily Boutique this year, and we would love to share it with you all.

My first post will be about the charitable craft show event we hold each year at my home church, Church of the Saviour United Methodist in Westerville, Ohio. This is our second year hosting this event. In 2010, we were very successful - donating over $1,000 to the youth ministry program. This year the event was held on December 10, 2011. We had 29 vendor tables with a wide variety of crafts like our hair accessories :-), handmade jewelry, fabric products, American doll clothes, handbags, jams, dog treats, and so much more.

Some of our vendors included, Scentsy, Bailey's Boxes and More, Designs by Deena, Friends and Stitches, Phoenix Creations, LYP Jewelry, P&R Designs in Wire, Rewritten Mittens, Pampered Chef, Snapped! By Nicole Photography, Crafty Sisters, Doggie Delicacies, School House Jam and Vault Denim.

The money comes from multiple sources; one is the vendor’s table donation. Another is during the craft show we serve lunch to the vendors and shoppers. We also have a bake sale included at the lunch window. All of the goods (lunch and bake sale items) are donated by my loving church members, so there are no expenses. There is a silent auction table too. I ask the vendors to donate an item, something with their business card attached, so it's a win win situation. :-) Oh and did I mention the awesome youth group that helps load and unload vendor's cars, delivers food, and watches your table when you need to take a break! Last year we did it bigger and better than 2010 and I fully expect to do it bigger and better in 2012. Our total donations were $725 in vendor table fees, $250 lunch and bake sale, and $205.50 silent auction table.......Drum roll please...... total donated to the youth program this year was………$1,180.50!!!
