Egg Carton Ladybug Craft Project

The Egg Carton Ladybug is the forth Tiger and Lily Boutique original egg carton craft project.  :-)   I told you that the Butterfly was the last egg carton craft but we had one more that slipped by.   And she is the cutest one!!!  A couple of these ladybug’s would be very cute sitting on a branch of your Christmas tree.  I do love handmade kid ornaments on my tree.  Make sure you put the date or at least the year on the inside so you now how old your kids were when they made their keepsakes.  Also this little cutie would make a great gift decoration.  Put her on top instead of a bow!

10 Slam-Dunk Crafts for Little Kids — And Bigger

New craft project posted today on Tiger and Lily Boutique, called 10 Slam Dunk Crafts for Little Kids, written by Chris Yates.

Crafting with young children really isn’t about creating something in particular. Most young children don’t have the foresight to see what a project is going to be.

For young children it’s more important that they have the opportunity to play and experiment with art. Kids need to use as many of their senses as possible to get the most out of crafting. This allow them to try new sensory experiences, as well as learn causal relationships.

Preserving Fall leaves – craft tip

I live in Ohio and some of our leaves are already starting to change.  I can’t believe it!  Summer went to fast.

Do you like using the Fall leaf colors in your home during this time of year?  Want to preserve the wonderful Fall leaf color?  Be sure to find leaves that are somewhat flat and do not have a lot of creases in them for the best outcome.  Also look for the ones without spots.  If you would like to flatten them, I think, the best way is to put them inside the pages of an old book with a paper towel.  If the leaves have a lot of moisture you might want to replace the paper towels after a few days.  Collecting leaves is also a lot of fun for your kiddos.

Egg Carton Butterfly Craft

The Egg Carton Butterfly is the third and final (well at least final for now :-) ) Tiger and Lily Boutique original egg carton craft.  :-) You can get even more creative with the butterfly by adding wings with whatever material you can find.  Or maybe antennas! Have fun with it.

Egg Carton Bumble Bee Craft

New article posted today on Tiger and Lily Boutique’s Make it! section, called Egg Carton Bumble Bee.  This is the second of three really fun egg carton crafts.  We really like kid crafts, especially for those that are either too young for school or for those that need a project to concentrate on after school, so Mom and Dad can cook dinner.  :-)   The egg carton crafts are also very inexpensive because you are reusing your egg cartons! This craft helps you talk about recycling and reusing items in your house – great lesson for our little ones.  They love to recycle!
